Saying Goodbye to Kung

The day prior when we were hanging out with Kung, Molly commented that she liked Kung’s sandals. Kung told Molly that if she liked them so much, she could have them, and that “this will be no problem.” As we were leaving the floating village, Kung handed Molly the sandals and insisted that she keep them. There was no way to refute the offer politely, and Kung was very insistent. We had a four hour drive back to Kata Beach, and Molly and I slept the entire way. We got dropped off at our hotel and said our goodbyes to Kung, exchanging emails and promises to write. Molly has decided that to repay Kung for the shoes, once she’s back in the States she’s going to buy some Crest White strips and send them to her in Thailand.
